Resket Towers
The Resket Tower is located in the vicinity of Do Dangeh, and has been constructed in the early 5th century AH. The said is made of brick with a dome which has been decorated with arches. Two brick inscriptions are affixed here, in the kufic, Pahlavi and Sassanide scripts.

Moves to Register Resket Cemetery Towers

TEHRAN, June 26--Preparations are underway to register the towers of Resket
and Lajin cemeteries, which are among the unique Islamic structures in Mazandaran province, on the UNESCO list of global cultural heritage.Director of Research Center of Resket and Lajin towers, Saeed Soleimani told CHN that studies have been carried out since last February to register the two towers with UNESCO.
He added that the two towers date back to the fifth century AH. The towers are made of bricks covered with plaster. Investigations are continuing and there is every likelihood of coming across fresh findings at the site, he pointed out.
The archeologist said that the two towers of Resket and Lajin were built during the Ghaznavi period when Mazandaran province was ruled by the Pavandian family who were descendents of Sassanid army commanders. The dynasty was ruling the area during the Sassanid reign became Muslims after the advent of Islam. They ruled Mazandaran for 700 years. The two towers were built on the tomb of Shahriar ibn-e Qaroon and one member of the Pavandian family.
He said that scaffolding has been raised around the two towers to enable construction works to reinforce and repair the structures and an expert in this field has been invited to do the job.
Soleimani said that there are some inscriptions on the towers in Kufi and Pahlavi scripts and experts in ancient handwritings have been asked to decipher them.
The two towers were discovered 30 years ago, concluded Soleimani.

برج رسکت
در چهل کیلومتری جنوب غرب شهر ساری قرار دارد و مسیر دست رسی به آن از ساری آغاز و پس از عبور از دو راهی کیاسر و سد سلیمان تنگه به جانب غرب منحرف می‌شود که بیشتر قسمت‌های آن آسفالته می‌باشد. این بنا در بخش دودانگه ساری قرار دارد و باآجر ساخته شده و تزئینات آن شامل مقرنس کاری دو کتیبه آجری به خط کو فی و پهلوی ساسا نی است. احتمالاً مقبره یکی از شهریاران آل باوند بوده و مربوط به قرن پنجم هجری قمری است.

راز برج رسکت آشکار شد

نخستين گمانه زني در اطراف برج رسكت، در سواد كوه مازندران راز ايستايي اين بناي اسلامي را در شيب تند كوه فاش كرد. باستان شناسان با سكوي آجري مواجه شدند كه شيب كوه را از بين برده است.

«مهدي عابديني»، سرپرست هيات كاوش در برج رسكت و عضو پايگاه ميراث فرهنگي و گردشگري برج‌هاي لاجيم و رسكت در اين‌باره به ميراث خبر گفت: «برج رسكت در شيب تند كوهي سنگي بنا شده و همواره اين سئوال مطرح بوده كه اين بناي آجري چگونه در اين شيب تند ايستاده است. با طرح اين سئوال گمانه‌اي در اطراف برج زده شد و طي آن بخشي از سكوي آجري نمايان شد كه سطح شيب را براي معماران برج از بين برده است.»

عابديني در ادامه گفت: «در گذشته معمارني كه قصد برپايي برج آرامگاهي رسكت را داشتند با استفاده از تراشيدن سنگ‌هاي كوه حفره‌اي سنگي را به وجود آوردند تا بتوانند سكوي آجري را در داخل آن بنا كنند.»

دو برج آرامگاهي رسکت و لاجين در زمان غزنويان ساخته شده‌اند اما در اين زمان خاندان باونديان که از اسپهبدان ساساني بودند در مازندان حکومت مي‌کردند.

اين خاندان از دوره ساساني در اين منطقه از کشور بوده‌اند اما با ورود اسلام، مسلمان شده‌ و حدود 700 سال در مازندران حکومت کرده‌اند.

دو برج رسکت و لاجين آرامگاه "شهريار ابن قارون"، و يکي از اعضاي خاندان باونديان است.

اين دو برج آرامگاهي با خط نوشته‌هاي كوفي تزئين شده است و قرار شده تا بهترين متخصصان خط اسلامي براي قرائت نوشته‌هاي تزئينات برج‌هاي آرامگاهي به پايگاه ميراث فرهنگي ملحق شوند.

پايگاه ميراث فرهنگي برج‌هاي آرامگاهي لاجيم و رسكت از اسفند ماه سال گذشته به سرپرستي "سعيد سليماني" كار خود را آغاز كرده و قرار است تا با انجام عمليات باستان شناسي و ساماندهي برج‌ها، پرونده اين دو اثر براي ثبت در فهرست ميراث جهاني آماده شوند.

برج رسکت از جمله بناهاي شاخص دوره اسلامي استان مازندران است که بيش از 30 سال مورد توجه قرار نگرفته بود. هم اکنون بخش‌‌هايي از برج‌ رسکت را پوشش گياهان خودرو در برگرفته و هيات مرمت قصد دارند با ايجاد پوششي روي گنبد اين بنا، با سموم مخصوصي گياهان خودرو را از روي آن بردارند.
